Across the country, our Safety teams are constantly looking for fresh new ways to reinforce the importance of safety among our Vehicle Operators. In Sumter County, Florida, General Manager Steve Baker got creative with his team’s most recent safety blitz. With a theme of “Safety is No Monkey Business,” Steve chatted with his Vehicle Operators about how to expect the unexpected and help prevent slips, trips, and falls.
Dressed in a monkey costume to fit the theme, Steve coached his team on the top three root causes of accidents:
- I didn’t see
- I didn’t think
- I didn’t know
After the training, the team enjoyed tasty treats before they hit the road for a day full of safe driving.
