What is Mobility Direct and Mobility Management Software?
For the past 10 years, MTM Transit has been a trusted mobility management partner for more than a dozen transit agencies nationwide, performing in excess of 100,000 Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) paratransit eligibility assessments on their behalf each year. Our experience managing the ADA eligibility process is why we created Mobility Direct, a proprietary mobility management software. Mobility Direct has a modern, easy-to-use customer interface; an easy-to-implement, cloud-based environment customizable to each client’s needs, including branding and direct interface with reservations, scheduling and dispatching systems; and more.
Mobility management is an incredibly important component of the services we provide. Originally intended to be used by MTM Transit at locations where we do the assessments and travel training, we quickly learned that there is demand for an out-of-the-box SaaS model, as well as demand at smaller agencies to combine the virtual and remote eligibility process into a scalable operation. This helps transit agencies control costs and ensure that the eligibility process is being managed by professionals focused exclusively on that process.
What is Travel Training?
MTM Transit’s travel training program is a complementary component to our ADA eligibility process. We partner with transit agencies to take the fear or mystery out of using a transit system for passengers who may be apprehensive about fixed route bus and rail systems. Oftentimes, we can refer potential fixed route users who apply for ADA paratransit service to the travel training program to give them more access to mobility.
We perform in-person or virtual travel training, and in most cases we travel with them using routes they may need to be able to navigate routinely for trips to work, grocery stores, medical appointments, and more.
Each mobility management program we support requires potential users to apply and be evaluated for ADA paratransit eligibility. It is critically important to get the best possible access to that service for the right population.
What we hear from Mobility Direct clients is that the platform makes ADA compliance extremely easy, and that it automates features that allow applicants to easily navigate the application process, reducing touch points.
