MTM Transit “Stuffs the Bus” for Martin County Food Drive

At MTM Transit, we believe in the importance of giving back to and making a positive impact on the communities we serve. In Martin County, Florida, we’re giving back by participating in a local “Stuff the Bus” food drive in collaboration with the county, the MARTY transit system, the House of Hope, and Walmart. We invite the Martin County community to join us in September by contributing non-perishable food items to the cause!

The House of Hope, based in Stuart, Florida, has been a steadfast source of assistance for individuals and families facing food insecurity. By donating to their food bank warehouse, we are directly contributing to their mission of alleviating hunger within the community. This initiative isn’t just about collecting food; it’s about demonstrating the power of unity, compassion, and generosity to address the critical issue of hunger in our community.

Throughout September, we are on a mission to “Stuff the Bus” with as much non-perishable food as possible. Our MTM Transit operators will serve as the dedicated drivers of this cause, transporting the food to the House of Hope food bank warehouse in Stuart. There, dozens of volunteers will unload, sort, and prepare the donations for distribution to local families.

Here’s how you can get involved:

  • Donate at Walmart: Join us at the Walmart Supercenter in Stuart (4001 SE Federal Hwy, Stuart, FL) on September 15 from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. and September 18 from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. for special events dedicated to stuffing the bus. At these events, you can directly donate and help us stuff the bus!
  • Drop-Off Locations: If you can’t make it to our events, don’t worry. You can drop off your non-perishable food donations throughout the entire month at the Martin County Administrative Center.

We are excited to make a meaningful difference in the lives of Marton County community members in need. Thank you for helping us make the community a better place!
