MTM Transit Austin Gives Back to Something at the Park

At MTM, we always encourage our local teams to give back to community programs and events that inspire them! Recently, our MTM Transit team in Austin, Texas was proud to participate in a local outreach event called Something at the Park, which gives low-income families access to free back-to-school resources like health screenings, haircuts, backpacks loaded with school supplies, and much more.

Nine of our local team members volunteered their Saturday to participate in Something at the Park, from driving shuttles to transport families to and from the event, passing out information about MTM Transit’s paratransit services in Austin, and recruiting potential employees to join our team.

Thanks to all of our employees who took the initiative to join in on this great event and help give back to the Austin community!

About Something at the Park

What started as an idea eight years ago has ballooned into a holiday in the city of Austin. Every year, the Something at the Park event draws community leaders to East Austin to engage under-served youth and take part in bringing families and communities together. The goal of this event is to support impoverished children and bridge gaps in service for Austin area youth, families, and communities while giving voice and life to their dreams. Annually, this event aids hundreds of children and families by providing them the proper tools to start a successful school year.
