MTM Transit is excited to announce the recent appointment of Cat DeGray as Regional Vice President – East. A 10-year veteran of the industry, Cat brings to MTM Transit a wealth of experience and a proven track record in transit leadership.
Cat began her transit career in January 2013 as General Manager for a start-up airport rental car center operated by First Transit in Chicago. Over the years, Cat has displayed exceptional leadership skills and dedication to the field, evident in her various roles, which have an emphasis on paratransit. Notably, she worked as the Central Region Director of Safety for Student Transportation of America, and later as the company’s Area General Manager for Iowa Operations. Cat’s journey came full circle in 2017 when she returned to First Transit, serving as General Manager for Broward County Paratransit in Florida. Most recently, she excelled as the company’s Senior Director of Operations, overseeing 31 separate contracts spanning from upstate New York to South Florida.
Ed Overn, MTM Transit’s Senior Vice President, Operations, expressed his admiration for Cat’s achievements, stating, “Cat’s dedication and passion for the transit industry have been evident throughout her career. Her expertise in operations, training, labor relations, and safety makes her an exceptional asset to our team. Cat’s profound experience and diverse skill set enable her to provide vital support to our local teams in tackling operational challenges and bolstering overall performance. As Regional Vice President – East, Cat will take charge of MTM Transit’s operations and clients in the Eastern region of the country. Her collaborative approach will foster increased service efficiency, ensure contractual compliance, and support ongoing growth for MTM Transit.
