Recently, our Boston mobility management team had the pleasure of attending the 2022 Moving Together Conference. This annual event, hosted by MassDOT and the UMass Transportation Center, focuses on transportation needs and innovations in Massachusetts.
In Boston, our team provides mobility management services, including travel training and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) paratransit eligibility certficiations, through the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA)’s Mobility Center. At the conference, Travel Training Manager Bianca Lightbourne presented to attendees about travel training services available at the Mobility Center, and Travel Trainer Linda Shepard Salzer showed off her one-of-a-kind tactile route map, which is a map of the MBTA’s light rail system designed to be read by touch by passengers with visual impairments. The team also had amazing learning experiences at the conference, including sessions on important topics like bicycle and pedestrian safety.
This was a great event that allowed our Boston mobility management team to make key contacts in the Boston transit space, inform attendees about the benefits of travel training, and highlight the services we provide on behalf of MBTA. Well done to the whole team!
