MTM Transit is excited to introduce our second ZAP Manager of the Month: Mark Frailey, the General Manager of our Tracy, California operations! Mark earned the award for the month of August 2020. Every month, our safety mascot ZAP Man recognizes our ZAP Manager of the Month. The Manager chosen for the honor is an MTM Transit leader who embodies our safety initiatives and shows a strong commitment to safety in all facets of their job.
“Without fail, Mark provides tremendous safety support to his employees,” said MTM Transit’s Director of Safety Administration Tom Greufe. “He works continuously to support their safety needs, implementing safety campaigns that make it clear that safety is a priority throughout his operations and maintenance facilities.”
Within every safety campaign and program at our Tracy location, Mark ensures his maintenance team is involved, and he always makes his safety messages and initiatives fun and exciting to keep his team engaged.
“Safety starts by leading by example,” Mark said. “My team has really bought into improving our safety culture and safety results, and I’m proud of everything they have achieved!”
Recently, Mark’s Tracy team achieved 130 days accident- and injury-free. To keep up this momentum, Mark created an exciting new safety awareness campaign that utilizes color-coded safety belts–similar to the belt designations in martial arts–to recognize his staff’s excellent safety performance. This program has been such a hit in Tracy that MTM Transit is currently considering expanding this program to our employees nationwide.
Congratulations Mark, and keep up the great work!
