MTM Transit is thrilled to celebrate our outstanding Valley Metro team members and Safety Leaders in Arizona with the award of their 2025 PAFR and IFR Safety Plaques!
These plaques are far more than decorations. They stand as tangible symbols of the dedication, vigilance, and hard work our teams put in every day to keep our operations safe nationwide. Each year, our divisions work toward clear, meaningful safety goals:
- PAFR (Preventable Accident Frequency Ratio): Measuring our success in minimizing preventable accidents through proactive driving, maintenance, and decision-making.
- IFR (Injury Frequency Ratio): Tracking our progress in reducing on-the-job injuries by prioritizing safe practices, training, and hazard awareness.
Divisions that meet or exceed these targets earn up to two plaques—one for PAFR and one for IFR—allowing teams to proudly display their accomplishments right where it matters most: in their local facilities.
These awards shine a spotlight on the collective effort and commitment of every operator, mechanic, dispatcher, and support team member who makes safety a top priority. They’re a powerful reminder that when we all work together, every milestone becomes a shared victory worth celebrating.
