MTM Transit is incredibly proud of our talented Vehicle Operators nationwide. Recently, Jamie Fairo, a Vehicle Operator from our Sarasota, Florida operations, won a coveted award at the 2023 Florida Triple Crown Bus Roadeo. With a perfect score on her event, Jamie was named the winner of the Highest Cutaway Operator Pre-Trip Inspection Score.
Every year, the Florida Triple Crown Bus Roadeo rounds up the state’s best drivers and technicians to participate in competitive events in paratransit and fixed route bus maintenance and operation. 2023 champions were crowned during an Awards Banquet following the competition. Winners–including Jamie–will participate in the upcoming National Paratransit Bus Roadeo sponsored by the Community Transportation Association of America (CTAA).
“This accomplishment speaks not only to Jamie’s dedication and knowledge of pre-trip safety, but also to our Training team’s excellence in preparing her for this year’s Roadeo competition,” said MTM Transit’s Sarasota General Manager Scott Lansing.
