Recently, three of MTM Transit’s outstanding vehicle operators showcased their dedication, skill, and commitment to excellence at the Texas Transit Association (TTA) State Roadeo. Competing against the best transit professionals from across the state, our team made us proud with their impressive performances!
We are thrilled to recognize:
- Theodore (Ted) Ward, who secured an impressive second-place finish
- Wally Acosta, who earned a well-deserved third-place finish
- Rodrigo (Tito) Hernandez, who volunteered his time and expertise to help set up the Roadeo courses
The TTA State Roadeo is a premier event that honors and highlights the exceptional skills of transit operators and maintenance teams—the backbone of transit systems in Texas and nationwide. The competition features rigorous courses designed to test safety, precision, maneuverability, and customer service in multiple divisions, including 40 foot, 35 foot, paratransit/van, and maintenance team categories.
Ted and Wally demonstrated incredible skill and precision as they navigated the challenging competition courses, earning praise from the judges for their expertise and professionalism. Meanwhile, Tito’s efforts behind the scenes helped ensure a smooth and successful event. Their dedication and hard work set a high standard for transit professionals, proving that excellence in our field is achievable through passion and persistence.
We are incredibly proud of Ted, Wally, and Tito for representing MTM Transit and our client, Capital Metro, with such distinction. Congratulations to all three on a job well done!
