MTM Transit’s team in Denver recently showcased their skills and dedication at the Denver Regional Transportation District (RTD)’s annual Roadeo competition. The event, hosted for RTD’s transit contractors, featured MTM Transit’s vehicle operators who operate a portion of RTD’s Access-a-Ride paratransit service. Access-a-Ride is a shared public transportation service for individuals who, due to a disability or medical condition, are unable to use RTD’s fixed-route bus and light rail services. The program serves eligible passengers across Boulder, Broomfield, Denver, Jefferson, Adams, Arapahoe, and Douglas counties within RTD’s paratransit coverage area.
Congratulations to our talented vehicle operators who performed exceptionally well at the RTD Roadeo! Mike Evans took home first place, while Richard Balch earned a third-place finish. Their accomplishments are a testament to their hard work and commitment to providing high-quality service to our passengers.
In preparation for the RTD Roadeo, our Denver team put in extra effort, practicing with obstacles that mimicked the competition course, with particular focus on morning gate skills. Their dedication paid off with top finishes and great team spirit.
A special shout-out to all the MTM Transit vehicle operators who competed, along with those who volunteered to help run the event. Your participation and teamwork made this event a success!
At MTM Transit, we are proud of our partnership with RTD and the role we play in operating the Access-a-Ride program. Congratulations again to our Denver team for representing us so well at the RTD Roadeo competition!
